What to do when you arrive
Matriculation is the process by which you are formally admitted to the University. There are two stages to this process:
In most cases, you will be able to do this before you arrive at the University.
2. Attend your programme induction
In order to have your registration 'fully confirmed' you must attend one of the programme induction sessions, further details below.
Meet with your Personal Tutor
You will meet with your Personal Tutor during Welcome Week. Your Personal Tutor will typically be the Programme Director or a member of the teaching staff on your programe. You will be assigned a Personal Tutor prior to Welcome Week and this will be reflected on your record. You will have the opportunity to meet with them (and your Programme Director) at the programme induction sessions.
You should also attend the relevant induction sessions as detailed in the events timetable.
An initial programme meeting will take place as detailed on the events timetable and from there you will be able to make an appointment to meet with your Personal Tutor individually. At this meeting, you will discuss and confirm your course choices.
Research students (PhD, MPhil and MSc by Research)
All research students should meet with their supervisor during Welcome Week to confirm the plan for their studies.
MSc by Research students should confirm their study route during these meetings.
