Research

I am a trainee histopathologist with research interests in gastrointestinal pathology and mucosal immunology.

I am currently completing a Jean Shanks Foundation/Pathological Society Clinical PhD Fellowship investigating the role of Microfold (M) cells in antigen sampling at Peyer's patches in early Crohn's disease pathogenesis.

Main techniques include immunohistochemistry, digital image analysis, human organoid cell culture and spatial transcriptomics.
