The University Business Intelligence/Management Information (BI/MI) Strategy was published in October 2014. This includes a set of recommendations to be followed up over a period of 2 to 3 years and looks to individual business areas to implement these collectively through alignment of their existing plans. Governance & Strategic Planning provide a coordination and facilitation role to support this devolved approach to strategy implementation.
As the lifespan of the BI/MI Strategy draws to a close, proposals for future BI/MI enhancements now fall within the scope of broader, pan-University change programmes. These include the (inter-related) Service Excellence Programme and Digital Transformation Programme. While Governance and Strategic Planning will no longer fulfil the same programme coordination role from 2017, the team will continue to advise on BI/MI related governance and policy and to promote communities of practice and networks.
The University's BI/MI strategy and roadmap set out the priorities and recommendations for a two to three year incremental change programme over the period 2014-2017.
