Information sessions (UK/EU students)
If you are from the UK or EU and are considering studying with us, then you can visit the University to learn more.
We are holding three Undergraduate Open Days in 2018 which will offer a much fuller experience than our information sessions. However, if you are unable to visit the University for an Open Day you can instead attend an information session and tour.
Whilst we cannot provide the full range of activities available at an Open Day, we will give you a short tour, a quick introduction to life at the University and the opportunity to ask us any questions that you may have.
Please note that you will not be able to meet tutors, visit specific subject areas or view accommodation as part of these sessions.
If you have already applied to, or are currently holding an offer from the University of Edinburgh, please note that our post-offer visits may be more suitable for you.
What happens at our sessions?
You will find out about student life at Edinburgh, including:
- a brief introduction to studying in Scotland
- an overview of the Scottish degree system
- an introduction to the University
- an overview of our campuses within the city of Edinburgh
- the subjects and degrees available for undergraduate study
- the flexibility and academic support available to our students
- student life at the University
- accommodation options
Please note, these sessions will include a tour of the University’s central George Square campus area so you do not need to book this separately.
Our next information sessions
Our next information sessions will take place in February 2018 during the UK half-term holidays.
Following these, our next information sessions will be held in March and April 2018 during the UK Easter holidays.
If you are an international student from outside of the European Union, please refer to our international students’ activities and online sessions.
If you wish to visit the University outside of these sessions or open days, you can book on to one of our student-led tours which take place two days a week throughout the year.
