Covid-19 Test Centres
Information on Covid-19 testing centres for students and staff.
If you are in Edinburgh and require a Covid-19 test, there are three test centres available to you.
Usher Hall, on Lothian Road, is Edinburgh's central test centre. This is a walk-through test centre, and you must pre-book an appointment via NHS Inform.
Leith Library (NEW)
Leith Library, located at 28-30 Ferry Road, is Edinburgh's newest walk-through test centre. The centre is open 8am to 8pm and appointments must be pre-booked via NHS inform.
Anyone attending an appointment at a walk-through testing centre will be provided with guidance on getting to and from the test site safely, with additional support for vulnerable groups and people with disabilities.
Edinburgh Airport has a drive-through testing site, in which you will be tested from your vehicle. You can arrange an appointment for the Edinburgh Airport testing site via NHS inform.
Please remember that you should only go through the Covid-19 testing process if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
Those being tested will be required to follow public health measures, including physical distancing, not travelling by taxi or public transport, practising good personal hygiene and wearing a face covering throughout, including while travelling to and from the testing centre.
For students and staff in the rest of Scotland, you can also find walk-through test centres in the following locations:
- Victory Memorial Hall - St Andrews
- ARC Glasgow Caledonian University - Glasgow centre
- Roy Strathdee Building - Aberdeen
- Riverside Museum Car Park - Glasgow West End
- Engine Shed, Forthside Way - Stirling
