Returning home to self-isolate
It is recommended you stay at your term-time address whenever possible.
If you need to self-isolate, you should follow the government guidance on self-isolation.
It is strongly recommended that you remain at your term-time address and isolate there along with other members of your household - as travelling home, or to an alternative address, risks the spread of the virus.
If you are unable to self-isolate without support and need to travel home, you may do so under the following guidelines:
- You will need to travel without using public transport.
- The address you are moving to will become your new household and the whole household will be required to self-isolate. That means others in the household will also have to follow self-isolation guidelines.
Travelling back to University accommodation after your period of self-isolation
When returning to accommodation, consider how best to travel there and whether any precautions may be needed when returning to your previous household.
You should also contact Accommodation, Catering and Events to let them know you are returning.
