Rosemarie Trockel at the Talbot Rice

The Talbot Rice Gallery is delighted to present an exclusive exhibition by the internationally renowned artist, Rosemarie Trockel.

'Drawings, Collages and Book Drafts' showcases a selection of the paper graphic work produced by the artist over her career.

The Talbot Rice Gallery is the only UK venue for the exhibition, which is on display until 30 April, 2011.

The exhibition

'Drawings, Collages and Book Drafts' is the largest display of Trockel’s works on paper to date.

Due to the scale of the exhibition, which features nearly 200 drawings, collages and book drafts, it is hung in all rooms of the gallery.

The exhibition is a partnership between Talbot Rice Gallery, Kunstmuseum Basel and Kunstmuseum Bonn.

Rosemarie Trockel, Vorstudie (Preliminary Study), 1989

Rosemarie Trockel is one of Germany's leading contemporary artists.

She became prominent in the mid 1980s with her now famous ‘knitted pictures’.

Today Trockel is highly regarded internationally and has won several awards for her sophisticated practice.

She represented Germany at the Venice Biennale (1999 and 2003) and her work is represented in collections worldwide.

Rosemarie Trockel lives and works in Cologne.
