Senate to debate strategic topics

Senate has recently agreed that each of its meetings should have discussion/debate on a high-level strategic academic issue.

To initiate this, the 4th June 2008 Senatus will feature a debate focused on the issue of sustainability in the University. This will start with five minute speakers on:

  • Sustainability in the Curriculum
  • Sustainability of Research
  • Sustainability of Business Practices
  • Sustainability at the University of Edinburgh - A Students Perspective

There will then be about 45 minutes for debate.

Online discussion space

A Senate discussion space has been created to enable discussion of the topic prior to the meeting.

To participate in this online discussion, Senate members can login with Ease (the University’s single sign on system) at the following page:

Please direct any queries to Senate Support.
