The Staff Pride Network serves as a resource for the rich diversity of LGBT+ staff working across the University.

It hosts a range of formal and informal events, provides a safe space for the discussion of LGBT+ issues, and offers confidential support and advice.

We’re all incredibly excited about this award. We have worked hard throughout the year to make the University of Edinburgh a better place to work for LGBT+ colleagues and this award recognises that.

Visible symbol

In February, the University launched official rainbow lanyards for staff and students to show their support for diversity and inclusion at Edinburgh.

The Staff Pride Network took inspiration from the rainbow flag of the LGBT+ community to produce two lanyard designs.

So far, more than 600 lanyards have been given out, with an order for an additional 1000 on its way.

To request a rainbow lanyard, please complete the Rainbow Lanyard Request Form.
