Summer graduations

Our summer graduation ceremonies take place between Saturday 25 June and Saturday 2 July, 2016.

BBC broadcaster Sally Magnusson, the Gaelic singer and actress Dolina MacLennan and the President of humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières‎ UK are among those receiving honorary awards.

Honorary graduates

Mr Ben Thomson

Mr Ben Thomson, Chairman of the National Galleries of Scotland and the founder of the think tank Reform Scotland, will be awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor honoris causa on Saturday 25 June.

Prince Albert II of Monaco

On Monday 27 June, the reigning Monarch of Monaco and President of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will be awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science.

In this interview clip, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco talks about his interest in the protection of the environment and global sustainable development. The Prince Albert II Foundation has so far funded initiatives worth US$40 million, to support work towards combating climate change.

Ms Sally Magnusson

The broadcaster and writer Sally Magnusson will receive an Honorary Degree of Doctor honoris causa on Thursday 30 June 2016.

Ms Dolina MacLennan

The Gaelic singer, actress and story teller Dolina MacLennan will be awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor honoris causa on Thursday 30 June 2016

Dr Judith Mackay

On Friday 1 July,  Dr Judith Mackay, who is Director of the Asian Consultancy on Tobacco Control and a Senior Policy Advisor with the World Health Organisation, will receive an Honorary Degree of Doctor honoris causa.

Professor Paul McMaster

On Saturday 2 July, the President of Médecins Sans Frontières‎ UK, Professor Paul McMaster, will receive an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Medicine.
