SHOW 2016 Fashion / Costume / Textiles
Tickets for SHOW 2016, Edinburgh College of Art’s (ECA) annual runway event, are now on sale.
For three days in May, the ECA Sculpture Court will provide the backdrop for a series of stylish catwalk productions, showcasing collections from students in fashion, performance costume and textiles.
Audiences will be among the first to see cutting-edge designs and imaginative creations from some of Scotland’s most promising new designers.
ECA’s fashion department is the only Scottish institution to show on the catwalk at the annual Graduate Fashion Week in London.
Former students have been employed by Prada, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Gucci, Diesel, Sonia Rykiel Paris and many others.
Performance costume graduates now work in film, TV and theatre across the world, including designing outfits for HBO's Game of Thrones and the new Star Wars films.
There is something magical about watching graduate collections being revealed for the first time, particularly when Edinburgh College of Art is renowned for producing incredibly successful designers.
