Musical celebrations mark St Andrews Day

The University is hosting a free evening of music and song to mark St Andrew’s Day.

The event, playing tribute to Scotland’s rich musical traditions, will be held at the Playfair Library in Old College.

Folk music

Performers will include Allan MacDonald (Highland pipes) and Gary West (Lowland pipes), together with Patsy Seddon (clarsach) and Padruig Morrison (accordion).

Vocals will be provided by Katherine Campbell (Scots song) and Margaret Callan (Gaelic song).

A folk group comprising Will Lamb (bouzouki), Fin Moore (bellows pipes) and Sarah Hoy (fiddle) will round off the evening.

Tickets are free but limited.
