Students show city is in class of its own

Four students from China, the Netherlands, Malaysia and the US have been chosen to lead an international marketing campaign for Edinburgh.

The students feature in a two-minute film that showcases the diverse culture and beauty of the city and the world-class education offered by the University.

Marketing Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh will work together to promote Scotland’s capital city and the University around the world.

Edinburgh is ranked 17th in the prestigious world QS rankings and recognised as a global hub of innovation and research excellence.

The University welcomed more than 14,000 international students studying a range of postgraduate and undergraduate courses throughout the academic year 2014/15.

Edinburgh is just perfect for a university city – not too small, not too large. The University's history is thrilling and it’s a place that fills you with pride.

Students

Taking part are international relations & law graduate, Marko Supronyuk from Chicago, USA and Yue Jiang from Hangzhou, China, who is in the final year of an accounting and finance degree.

Also participating are law and international relations student Iqbal Fatkhi from Malaysia and chemical physics student Nore Stolte from The Netherlands.
