St Andrew’s Day celebration

Join us for a night of pipes, fiddles and Scots and Gaelic songs to celebrate Scotland's rich cultural heritage.

This year’s St Andrew’s Day concert will delight the audience with a range of Scottish music from some of its finest artists.

Performers will also pay tribute to the late Dr Jean Redpath MBE, an internationally renowned Scottish folk singer who performed at previous University events.

This event is free but ticketed. Places are limited so booking is essential.

Traditional Artists in Residence

Most of the evening’s performers are, or have been, Traditional Artists in Residence at the School of Scottish Studies Archives. They are leaders in their field, drawing on Scotland’s wealth of traditions.

Performers include Scott Gardiner, Katherine Campbell, Margaret Callan, Allan MacDonald and Gary West. Student musicians and singers will also perform.

This event is presented by Celtic and Scottish Studies and the School of Scottish Studies Archives.
