A total of 92 Highly Skilled Workforce Scholarships will be offered to Edinburgh students starting postgraduate taught degrees in 2014-2015.

The scholarships, supported by the Scottish Funding Council, are awarded to students on programmes with clear links to industry and the Scottish Government's priority development sectors.

Students working in key economic sectors such as energy, finance, business, life sciences and creative industries are eligible to apply.

Each scholarship will cover a student's UK/EU tuition fee.

Scholarships are available to UK nationals who are permanently domiciled in Scotland.

Also eligible are EU nationals (excluding UK nationals) domiciled in the EU or Scotland, but not elsewhere in UK, who have been accepted on an eligible full-time or part-time Master's degree programme.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the benefits to the student.

Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.

Eligible students should complete an online scholarship application before the application deadline of 1 May 2014.

Applicants will not be able to access the online scholarship application form unless they have already applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. They must also have full EASE authentication.

For those who are not eligible, there are many other scholarships available to postgraduate taught students at the University of Edinburgh.
