Health lecture series

Please join us this winter for a series of enlightening and lively talks looking at a variety of health issues.

Students at the Queen's Medical Research Institute, Little France.

Let's Talk About Health: from Cradle to Grave starts on Wednesday 11 December and runs until March.

Audiences will hear from some of the University’s most distinguished medical researchers about the latest advancements in subjects as diverse as preventing stillbirths, treating stroke and developing new drugs for diabetes.

Each lecture will feature two short talks from a clinician and a full-time scientific researcher.

Let's talk about health is all about advancing our understanding of diseases and health conditions. Come along and find out what goes on in the University to increase our knowledge of diseases and provide new advances in treatment.

Tickets are free but booking is essential.

All talks will be held at the Queen’s Medical Research Institute, next to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

All talks will start at 5.30pm.

Refreshments will be served from 4.45pm and wine and soft drinks will follow each lecture at 6.30pm.

The series, which is funded by the Medical Research Council, is organised by Professor Karen Chapman, from the University’s BHF Centre for Cardiovascular Science.
