Enlightenment Lecture by Professor Lord Robert Winston

Please join us for the next lecture in our Enlightenment Lecture series, which will be delivered by Professor Lord Robert Winston.

Lord Winston will discuss medicine, ethics and society at the McEwan Hall on Monday 21 October, at 6.30pm.

The free public lecture also forms part of this year's Our Changing World series.

Professor Lord Robert Winston

Lord Winston has an international reputation for his research into human reproduction and has pioneered advances widely used in fertility and IVF treatment.

He is also known for his work in popularising science and medicine on television and for writing a number of popular science books for both adults and children.

The University’s Enlightenment Lectures examine aspects of the Enlightenment's legacy in the context of our own fraught and hectic times.

The lectures encompass talks from global leaders in politics, philosophy, science and economics.

Previous speakers include Mary Robinson, Joseph Stiglitz, Irene Khan, Aubrey Manning, Amartya Sen and Jon Snow.
