Tuition Fees

Our tuition fees are the same for both overseas and home students.  Please note that the amount quoted below is for each academic year.

Academic Year Online learning Tuition Fees

2024/25

£5,700 per year 

Information on annual tuition fees:

Tuition fees increase every year in the majority of cases.

For students whose studies commenced in 2022-23 or earlier, tuition fees will increase each year. You should take this annual tuition fee increase into consideration when you estimate your fees for a degree.

From 2023-24 tuition fees for new entrants will be fixed for the duration of their programme. If you joined us from August 2023 onwards and you are studying for a degree or qualification that will take more than one year to complete, the fee charged will be fixed at the level charged on the year of entry.

University of Edinburgh Scholarships

There are a number of scholarships available for our programme, please check your eligibility and find our more information here.

Many of the scholarship schemes offer a limited number of scholarships and receive a large number of applications.  You may find it useful to read the University's funding tips document before you apply.  If you are not successful in obtaining a scholarship, please contact us and we can advise you further, clinicaleducation@ed.ac.uk

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) is offering 5 scholarships for applicants accepted for admission to the MSc in Clinical Education at the University of Edinburgh in the Academic Year 2024-2025. 

The scholarships are intended for candidates from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries, and they are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

To apply for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship, candidates must:

  • Be a citizen of or be granted refugee status from an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
  • Be permanently and continually resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard. A lower qualification and sufficient relevant experience may be considered in certain cases
  • All candidates must provide at least one reference
  • All candidates must hold an offer to start their chosen course of study in 2024

Applying and Deadlines

This is a TWO PART process  

PART ONE - Securing an offer to study your programme of choice. Apply to the eligible programme of your choice through our Degree Finder.

To secure an offer you must meet the University of Edinburgh entry requirements.  

A conditional offer is sufficient for you to move to part two of this process and apply for the CSC scholarship. You will however need to meet all the conditions of your offer to secure an unconditional offer and become a student at the University of Edinburgh. This will include demonstrating your English language competency.    

Please note – Apply for your programme as soon as possible, as it can take up to 10 working days for an application to be processed. 

 

PART TWO - Applying for the Commonwealth Scholarship  

Once you have received an offer from the University of Edinburgh, you can apply to the Commonwealth Scholarships. Information on how to apply can be found here.

Before applying, please be sure to read the Eligibility Information on the Commonwealth Scholarships webpage. 

Remember you must include all supporting documentation.

Deadline Date is 16:00 GMT on Thursday 28 March 2024.
