Tissue Repair student Phoebe Kirkwood co-authors paper on macrophages

The study demonstrates the therapeutic potential of a type of immune cells called macrophages, in a model of liver injury.

The paper describes a protocol whereby pure populations of therapeutic macrophages can be produced in vitro from pluripotent stem cells on a large scale.
