Tissue Repair student Niya Aleksieva passes PhD viva voce

Many congratulations to Niya on this fantastic achievement.

Niya carried out her PhD research in the lab of Prof Stuart Forbes, at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine.

During her PhD, Niya studied how cells in the bile ducts can contribute to liver repair following injury when the functional liver cells (hepatocytes) have regenerative defects.

Niya has contributed to several papers on liver injury and regeneration during her PhD studies.
