Disabilities
The University has a responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to aid staff and students with disabilities.
A disabled person is defined as being anyone who has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on the person’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities, as defined by the Equality Act (2010).
The University has a duty to make reasonable adjustments to avoid putting disabled people at a substantial disadvantage compared to non-disabled people.
Students can also get support from the Student Disability Service.
The free AccessAble app gives information about ramps, lifts and accessible toilets across campus.
