Edinburgh Local

Our research and you

The University of Edinburgh is more than just a fantastic place for students to study; the staff and students are responsible for an amazing array of world-class research projects.

From medical breakthroughs like the first vaccine against viral hepatitis B, to Nobel prize winning research in physics, as well as revealing research into our politics, society and arts and more.  Some of our work is focused on international challenges like climate change that affect us all.  Some projects have direct benefits for our local communities.

Whatever your interests you will likely find something relevant in what we do.  So we invite you to take time to discover the research that is happening on your doorstep.  You might even find you can help us with our work too.
