About the grants

The aims of the Edinburgh Local Community Grants scheme are to:  

  1. Have a positive social impact for people living in the City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian, Scottish Borders and/or Fife by contributing to one or more of these United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)1 No Poverty3 Good Health and Wellbeing4 Quality Education8 Decent Work and Economic Growth10 Reduced Inequalities11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.

2. Develop positive relationships between the University and your community organisation. 

 

The next round of community grants is open Monday 20 March to Friday 21 April 2023. Our micro-grant scheme is also open all year round for applications for funding of up to £500. Applications are welcome from not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises.

The spring round of the Community Grants Scheme is open from Monday 20 March to Friday 21 April 2023. 

Micro-grant Scheme

As well as our Community Grants Scheme that opens twice a year, local organisations can apply for a smaller award of up to £500 through our micro-grant scheme.
