Research Ethics and Knowledge Exchange and Impact (KEI)

Guidance on ethics when undertaking knowledge exchange and impact activities.

The University has not yet published clear guidance on ethics review for knowledge exchange and impact activities.

If you are unsure as to whether or not your KEI activities require ethics review, please refer to the Knowledge Exchange and Impact (KEI) Activities and Research Ethics guidance. Please note that this document is for guidance only. If you have queries about KEI activities in relation to ethics, please consult your Subject Area Research Ethics Lead in the first instance. Please do not contact members of staff in PPLS/LEL with queries.

Another useful guidance document is the Sheffield Hallam University’s guidance on “Research Impact and Ethics” which can be found at the bottom of the Additional Guidance section https://www.shu.ac.uk/-/media/home/research/ethics-integrity-and-practice/research-impact-and-ethics/research-impact-and-ethics-guidance.pdf
