Latest QS world rankings announced

The latest international university rankings have confirmed Edinburgh’s position as a leading global institution.

The QS World Rankings 2014/15, announced on 16 September, have placed the University 17th in the world, retaining our position from last year and marking Edinburgh as Scotland’s highest ranked University.

The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures is very pleased to highlight that at a subject level Edinburgh’s ranking in our two main categories, Modern Languages and English Literature, retain our position as one of the top 15 institutions in the world.

The annual QS World University Rankings by Subject is a comprehensive guide to the world’s top universities in a range of popular subject areas. Using data on reputation and research citations, the rankings highlight the 200 top universities in the world for 30 individual subjects.
