Nort Atlantik Drift
A film by Susan Kemp: using documentary film to create impact.
A few years back I read the book of poems and photos Nort Atlantik Drift by Robert Alan Jamieson and was much stuck by it. An idea sparked and three years ago I made a film with RAJ in Shetland, loosely inspired by the book and its poignant introduction in which Jamieson explained he’d originally intended the book ‘for my three sons, a record of who their father might be and who he once thought he might be. But as with life, the narrative developed in ways I didn’t foresee.’
