Recent graduate honoured for undergraduate paper

On Friday 21 November 2014 recent graduate Yasmin Al-Quaddoomi was one of 10 University of Edinburgh students honoured at the Undergraduate Awards Global Summit in Dublin, Ireland.

Yasmin’s paper ‘Carnival Laughter in Victorian Literature’ was highly commended, which meant her submission was in the top 10% of all submissions received by The Undergraduate Awards in 2014 for the Literature Category.

Yasmin, a recent graduate from the MA in English Literature and Classics, was an attendee at the 2014 Undergraduate Global Summit. The conference welcomed 120 future leaders to Dublin, Ireland to spark cutting-edge ideas, forge collaborations and encourage responsible leadership.

The 120 attendees at the summit are the top performing entrants out of 4,792 submissions the Undergraduate Awards received this year from 209 universities across 27 countries.
