Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies

Meet, Greet and Eat

Every year, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (IMES) hosts free networking and socialising events to bring together students and native speakers of Arabic, Persian and Turkish.

Middle Eastern food at a table for a Meet, Greet and Eat event

Meet, Greet & Eat is a language exchange and networking event where students and native speakers of Arabic, Persian and Turkish can mingle in a relaxed and informal setting and over a serving of the famous Moroccan herbal tea.

Students and native speakers of Arabic, Persian and Turkish, as well as anyone interested in the Arab world and the Middle East, are more than welcome to attend our events. As well as opportunities for networking and socialising, we regularly show short films and documentaries.

How to join

Events are free and open to all.

Spaces are limited, so please register on Eventbrite. You can find registration links on individual listings.
