Professor Josef Wiesehöfer (University of Kiel) will give the First Annual Iranian heritage Foundation Lecture on "Images of the good ruler in Sasanian Iran".

Biography

Professor Wiesehöfer is a leading authority on pre-Islamic Iran and has published extensively on the the Achaemenids and the Sasanians. His Ancient Persia, 550 BC to 650 AD (London - New York 1996), is a widely read standard book. Several of his books have been translated into Persian.
