Applicants for research programmes must submit a research proposal demonstrating their knowledge of their chosen field of research, which will be closely scrutinised as part of the decision-making process.
This should be uploaded under Other documents as part of your application.
We strongly encourage you to contact members of staff who could potentially supervise your research before applying. Members of staff are usually happy to discuss ideas for research which they might supervise or make their own suggestions, and discussing these in advance is likely to result in a stronger and more viable research proposal. It will also maximise our ability to match your interests with available staff expertise.
Please check the staff profiles in our web pages for information on their research interests.
MSc by Research students should also send a proposal of their proposed study.
