LLC Work-in-Progress Seminar Series
The LLC Work-in-Progress Seminar Series is a student-led initiative that was founded in 2013. It was established to create a forum where postgraduate students from across the School could present their research in a friendly and supportive environment.
The LLC WIP seminars offer a great opportunity for postgraduate students to share their research with peers and receive insightful feedback from outside their subject area. It allows for presenters to practice conference papers, or to develop ideas for new thesis chapters and journal articles. We welcome papers from postgraduates in any discipline within LLC.
The LLC WIP Seminars take place every second Wednesday, 17.30-18.00 in Room G.05, 50 George Square. The seminars consist of a twenty-minute paper, followed by a discussion. There are hot drinks and biscuits available at the seminars. Those who want to can join us in the pub afterwards.
More details on each week’s presentations and presenters can be found in our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/llcwipseminars/).
The co-conveners of the seminar series for 2017-2018 are currently: Amos Abrahams, Erden Göktepe and Paul Leworthy. We are currently looking for two further co-organisers.
