Masters Lifecycle

A brief overview of the student lifecycle for masters students in LLC.

The lifecycle below is a general overview of the key events which take place in the life of a full-time masters student on a one year programme in LLC. The student lifecycle will vary for students on part-time programmes, MScR II programmes and two-year programmes.

Specific information and dates for the current academic year (if available) can be found by clicking on the links below; information may also be provided to you throughout the year from the Postgraduate Office/ University.

September	Course enrolment Welcome Week, including the School's Postgraduate Welcome Day Semester 1 teaching begins Course and programme changes (allowed until the end of Semester 1, Week 2) EUSA programme representatives selected (Semester 1, Week 2/3)
October	EUSA programme representatives training (Semester 1, Weeks 3-7)
November	Staff-Student Liaison Committee Meeting between Programme Representatives and Staff (Semester 1, Weeks 7/8) Information session for MSc students considering PhD study Semester 1 Exam Diet available (MScT students)
December	Semester 1 final assessment hand-in and exams Semester 1 Course Enhancement Questionnaires University closes during winter teaching vacation period
January	Special Circumstances deadline for Semester 1 courses Semester 2 teaching begins Book History & Material Culture optional work placements begin Theatre & Performance Studies optional professional placements begin Course changes (allowed until the end of Semester 2, Week 2)

July	Chinese Studies students depart for study abroad (Approved Residency)
