About the summer school

The Association for Low Countries Studies in the UK and Ireland (ALCS) is holding its residential Dutch summer school in Edinburgh again this year.

The theme of this year's summer school is 'Steden van de toekomst'! (‘Cities of the Future!’) and will consist of intensive Dutch language learning, workshops and cultural activities. 

The course is open to Dutch learners on all levels, including those some existing knowledge of Dutch, beginners and self-taught learners.

How to attend

The ALCS Zomercursus is open for all Dutch learners living in the UK and Ireland.

The cost of the summer school is £120 with partial and full bursaries available to those on a low income. The course fee covers self-catering accommodation on campus, all activities and some meals.

Applications are open until 19 May 2023, and must be completed by Google Form.
