Dashkova Centre

Visit by Ambassador Matlock

On Wednesday, 10th of June 2015, the Ambassador to the Soviet Union (1987-1991) Jack Matlock visited the Dashkova Russian Centre.

Dr Lara Ryazanova-Clarke, Dr Luke March and Dr Vera Zvereva were delighted to introduce Ambassador Matlock and his wife Rebecca Matlock to the work of the Centre and to engage into a conversation on the history of the Russian-American relationships from the times of Princess Dashkova (the first woman member of the American Philosophical Society), through the 1980s and 90s - times of the Perestroika and creation of the contemporary Russian State, to the present day.
