Russian Film Week 2019: Great Poetry (and Q&A with director Alexander Lungin)
Two young men, cash collectors on the outskirts of Moscow, spend their lives moving money for other people and betting on cockfights at a dorm for migrant workers. Daydreaming of high ideals, they enrol in a poetry class. Their attempts to find poetry in a prosaic world lead the men to conclude that the only poetic move they can make is... to rob a bank.
A tale of friendship and betrayal in a world where anyone who tries act with integrity ends up looking naive and cruel.
