Elizabeth Quarmby Lawrence is Rare Books Librarian in Edinburgh University Library. She has a BLib from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and has previously worked in the libraries of the National Trust, and as Special Collections Librarian, St. John’s College, Cambridge. Her research interests are principally in the history of libraries and scholarship in Britain in the Early Modern period.
