A Night in the Fairy Brugh: Music and Dance through the Lens of Gaelic Storytelling

This lecture by Dr William Lamb  considers what we can learn about the Gaels’ traditional music and dance through their own inter-generational tales, drawing together sundry threads from Dr Alan Bruford’s substantial contribution to Scottish Ethnology, and provide a refreshing angle to a famous facet of Gaelic culture.

The Alan Bruford Memorial Lecture is an annual event in memory of scholar and archivist Alan Bruford. The event is part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival and is supported by the School of Scottish Studies Archives.
