She is hosted by her childhood friend Bailu (Wang Yishu), who now lives there with her father. Little does she know about the dangers of the spiritually polluted metropolis. After she managed to find a job in a café in the heart of the modern foreign concession, she soon realises ill-intentioned men are lurking around. But this does not stop her from going to a mundane party with her friend on the invitation of Bailu’s malicious landlord (Shan Siping).
