When the innocent and wholesome Little Six comes to Shanghai to work for the rich Liu family, she does not know that it is the very same family her brother was sold to eighteen years earlier! After settling down in the household she eventually enters into a relationship of mutual affection with her young master and believes him when he insists that “love never fails” - - despite her cruel mistreatment at the hands of his vain mother. On discovering the love relationship, the enraged Mrs. Liu immediately sends for Little Six’s mother, who recognises the household... Little Six, pregnant and not knowing the truth, must decide what to do for her own sake as well as the sake of her unborn child…
