The Alwaleed Centre

Resources for schools

Islam is consistently misrepresented in the West, with the media often portraying Islam as a threat to western beliefs and values.

In a media age it is vital that young people are equipped with the knowledge they need to understand Islam and the Islamic world properly, in both a local and a global context.

The Alwaleed Centre is a resource for all schools concerned with approaches to the study and understanding of Islam. The Centre can offer advice on lesson planning, deliver one-off lectures or workshops, and even organise engaging study-days on such themes as Islamic Civilisation, Muslims in Britain, and the relationship between the World of Islam and the West.

We are in the process of compiling a comprehensive set of resources for teachers which will be available to download from this website. Teachers can be assured that any materials found on this website are suitable for use in the classroom.
