Breaking Barriers

Breaking Barriers is a ground-breaking initiative which brings together young Christians and Muslims in Scotland for discussion around scripture and faith. We organise a conference every year as well as regular 'Scriptural Reasoning' session where we explore different ideas and concepts within the Bible and Qur'an. Breaking Barriers began in 2011 with a two-day residential conference and since, the Breaking Barriers community has gone from strength to strength to strength. Breaking Barriers is a joint initiative of the Alwaleed Centre at the University of Edinburgh, and the Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association. The Alwaleed Centre is delighted to be working with the Church of Scotland to organise "Breaking Barriers"; an exciting new initiative bringing together young Christians and Muslims in Scotland. Breaking Barriers is a two-day residential conference aimed at bringing together young Christians and Muslims in Scotland to explore each others' faiths and build lasting relationships.
