Brand new masters programmes

Applications have opened for two brand new taught masters programmes. Our MSc in Intermediality: Literature, Film and the Arts in Dialogue explores the interrelations between different art forms, while our MSc in the Globalised Muslim World studies the contemporary Muslim world in all its global and regional diversity.

QS World Rankings by Subject 2020

The University of Edinburgh is ranked 3rd in the UK for both Modern Languages and English Language and Literature.

We are also 3rd in the UK in the broad subject area of Arts & Humanities. 

Globally, we’ve climbed five places in Modern Languages to 12th in the world and, in English Language and Literature, we’ve risen two places to break into the World Top 10 at number nine.
