Information for current students about how to contact their Programme Representatives

What would I contact my Student Representative for?

Programme Representatives work with staff to improve the student learning experience.

The student learning experience relates to how you learn and the way you are taught, so you may wish to get in touch with your students representative about:

Curriculum The content and structure of the course you have taken, so for example you might suggest that courses are delivered at a different time of day or that you would be more interested in spending more time engaged in one particular topic or subject area of the course.
Learning resources The accessibility of the library and relevant course books, or you may have a comment to make regarding the classroom itself, or the course resources and equipment.
Progression The opportunities of progression within the Short Courses programme, the Certificate of Higher Education or the range of credit courses available.
Guidance and support Such as the series of study skills sessions we deliver at the start of each term, you may have suggestions for further sessions, or you may wish to suggest other ideas relating to academic support, guidance and advice.
COLs mid and end of term feedback mechanisms You may wish to comment about those alterative feedback mechanisms that are in place, such as the mid-term cards and end-of-course questionnaire.
