End of Course Surveys

Information about the End of Course Survey available to students at COL

Just as students value the feedback they are given on their performance, staff are keen to hear how students rate the experience they have at our university and in our courses. Throughout their studies students are given the opportunity to provide us with feedback on a variety of feedback questionnaires and surveys.

The End of Course survey is where students are asked to give feedback on the whole course experience.

The survey will be available at the end of the course via the ‘Have Your Say’ button on the course LEARN page.

How is the data used?

The information from the surveys helps the Centre for Open Learning gain an insight into how students experience each course, including the delivery, content and resources. We use the information to help inform course design and teaching. We also use it for our quality process: our course monitoring, subject area reviews, and our annual quality report which is sent to the University’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

How are the results handled and distributed?

The survey results are collected anonymously.

They can be accessed by the Centre’s Teaching Office team, and by the Course Organiser. Survey returns are collated automatically and sent to the relevant Course Teacher by the Course Organiser.

Students should make sure that feedback is constructive and does not breach the University Dignity and Respect Policy. You can find out more about the Dignity and Respect Policy via the link below.
