The University of Edinburgh Summer School will be a once in a lifetime experience to broaden your academic and cultural horizons at one of the Top 20 universities in the world (16th in QS World University Rankings 2021).
Stay
As a Summer School student you’ll be based in the heart of Edinburgh and have the chance to explore one of the world’s most beautiful and historic cities and enjoy the wonders of Scottish hospitality first hand. What’s more, you’ll be sharing this experience with new friends from a range of international and cultural backgrounds who are looking to make memories to last a lifetime.
Study
The innovative and inspiring two-week courses at the University of Edinburgh's Summer School have been designed to give you the chance to study unique and interesting subjects.
We are so excited to be welcoming students back to campus this summer and to be offering two-week courses for those planning to study at university level:
- Pre-University: Humanities
- Pre-University: Social Sciences
… And two to four week courses for those already studying at Undergraduate level:

- Business Communication and Social Media
- Leadership and Entrepreneurship
With each course you’ll get lots of contact time with our passionate and knowledgeable University of Edinburgh academic teaching staff, who are there to help you make the most of your summer learning experience.

Edinburgh or ‘auld Reekie’ as it’s affectionately known, really does come to life in the summer months and you’ll get to experience this first hand.
Prepare to enjoy the bustling city with entertainment such as festivals, music ceilidhs, famers markets and guided walks through the historic cobbled streets…. And what’s more, you’ll get to experience a number of these activities as part of the organised social programme which is included in your Summer School experience.
