The Scottish ADOS Consortium

How to apply

Find out how to apply for the ADOS course.

We are currently planning four courses for 2024 - two online in March and two further courses in Edinburgh in Spring and Autumn.  Please see below for the application process.

Applications

NES Psychology are responsible for the selection of candidates for ADOS-2 training places. To register interest, please contact your NES Co-ordinator who  will forward nominations.  NES will compile a list of 12 candidates per course (distributed across boards and service types) with 4 reserve candidates. These candidates will then register with the Consortium so we have their details, can help to match them with a Coach and complete all the course requirements.

As part of the application process, candidates are required to provide their line manager’s details who will be contacted to ask for their support of the application. The line manager will also be required to help identify a Coach to support the candidate with their pre- and post-course work relating to ADOS training, as well as confirm access to an ADOS kit, manual and module booklets.

Before applying

Applicants are advised to read our Student Selection Criteria before registering interest and to watch the information video on the 'Course Information' page.
