QuPath is open-source software designed to help scientists analyse complex images for basic biology and biomedical research (https://qupath.github.io).

First released in 2016, QuPath was created by Dr Pete Bankhead. It is now maintained and improved by Pete and his research group in the IGC.

A growing number of researchers worldwide rely on QuPath for image analysis. The main paper describing the software was cited more than 700 times in 2022, representing over 40% of the total citations to date (1723 citations, Scopus).

QuPath v0.4.0 is a major update that introduces many improvements and new features to address a wider range of image analysis challenges. It has been downloaded more than 6,200 times in the two weeks since it was made available on 03/12/2022.
