I’m a Scientist, get me out of here!

PhD student Lucy Remnant will be taking part in the 'Proteins Zone' of the June 2014 'I'm a Scientist, get me out of here!: June 2014

PhD student Lucy Remnant, based in the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre within the MRC Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, will be taking part in the 'Proteins Zone' of the June 2014 'I'm a Scientist, get me out of here!'

The free, X Factor-style competition allows school students to meet and interact with scientists. The students challenge scientists during live online chats, asking anything they want, then act as judges to vote for their favourite scientist.

PhD Student Juan Carlos Lopez-Baez was awarded second place in the 'General Science' zone in the March competition, after answering questions on his research, space, the brain and even giraffes!

The winning scientist receives a prize of £500 towards their public engagement work. Good luck Lucy!
