The handbook covers the essentials of tutoring and demonstrating, including tutorials and problem-solving classes, laboratory and fieldwork, assessment and feedback. It will also be of value to lecturers, administrators and managers who guide and support tutors and demonstrators.

About the book
The handbook was developed in 1995. It therefore does not include reference to online tutoring or recent research on student learning. However, it is still recommended as a useful general reference guide to practice and is widely used in Edinburgh and beyond.
