  • Payback of University of Edinburgh staff time including Guaranteed Hours and Student Experience Contracts
  • Contribution toward the cost of developing a website/blog related to your project or event

Please email us at iad.funding@ed.ac.uk if you have any queries about additional projects costs not mentioned in the table above.

Other guidance

  • Please provide a clear budget breakdown in your application that demonstrates that you are applying for an appropriate amount of money to deliver your project.
  • For projects and activities which have been previously funded by this scheme, you can only apply for additional funding from the IAD Action Fund if your application is to develop or add to existing project activities. We are not able to fund identical, repeating events.
  • Our budget does not allow us to fund ongoing/repeat activities, however our goal is for successful activities and events that are tested via the IAD Action Fund Small Grants to continue. If your event has been successful, we encourage you to consider following on from your Small Grant activity with a Regular Grant application, and/or embedding it into your annual activity. You can contact your school management or college offices to discuss resources, financial support and sustainability, and other funding options.
  • You can apply to more than one IAD supported scheme at a time. You may also be interested in the Festival of Creative Learning Pop-up Event programme, or the Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme, particularly if there is scope to enhance learning and teaching (undergraduate or postgraduate) in your area.
